Dell may not be a major player in the tablet field, and the Dell Venue 8 Pro is their first Windows 8.1 tablet to make it to prime time. The tablet has seen its share of ups and downs since its release, but a firmware update that rolled out last week is set to make things a bit easier for folks having issues with their stylus.
The Dell Venue 8 Pro has been out for several months now, and while a lot of people seemed pleased with the tablet, most haven’t been thrilled with the active stylus. Some of the issues affecting users were taps not being registered by the stylus to go along with plenty of “ghost” clicks and battery issues. Not a pleasant problem to have when you’re using an active stylus.
Several updates have already been issued, and the latest firmware update is version 220.127.116.11, A02. This update is supposed to address the bulk of the stylus issues and has been labeled as “urgent” for anyone that owns the Dell Venue 8 Pro.
The Venue 8 Pro has gotten off to a rocky start, but Dell has seemingly been on top of things as the most recent update is already the third for the tablet. It remains to be seen if the update will right all the wrongs of the active stylus or if Dell will need to make further changes to get things straightened out. If you own the Dell Venue 8 Pro, the 18.104.22.168,A02 update is ready to download, and you can snag it at the link below.
